Downhole Measurements and Tools

Wednesday, 5 March
Room 4
Technical Session
Without measurements we are blind, this is especially true in a drilling environment where we want to illuminate the formations we are penetrating as well as maintain control over that operation.  So, in this session we will hear about enhancements to LWD tools which can turn a light on the hole as it is drilled as well as how it evolves through the drilling operation.  We also consider how to optimize the tool layout in our BHA’s to enhance our inter tool communication and NMR measurements.
