This session examines innovative approaches to suppress high-frequency torsional oscillations (HFTO) in drilling operations. Presentations will cover near-bit damping concepts and drill bit designs validated in full-scale lab tests, holistic performance analysis of rotary steerable systems (RSS) with HFTO mitigation capabilities, and numerical modeling of HFTO excitation using bit-BHA system simulations. Attendees will gain insights into the latest advancements in reducing drilling dysfunctions and improving operational performance.
