Safer and More Efficient Drilling Through Modeling and Simulations: Integrating Physics, AI, and Field Data
Thursday, 19 March
Grand Ballroom B
Technical Session
This session examines the latest advancements in modeling various aspects of drilling operations to improve drilling performance and prevent costly incidents. The presentations cover bending load modeling for directional drilling, development of an open-source drill string mechanical model, hybrid physics and AI modeling for real-time stuck pipe prediction, coupled fluid-drill string dynamics modeling, as well as novel approaches for integrating field data with simulations for hole cleaning and borehole stability management, and for PDC bit selection.
