Oonagh Werngren MBE

Oonagh is a former President of the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain and Non- Executive Director.  In the course of her career, she held senior leadership positions around the globe for BP, GDF SUEZ and Oil & Gas UK.

Oonagh was awarded an MBE in the 2011 Queen’s Birthday Honours List, for services to the oil and gas industry. She is co-author of “The Oil Industry’s Best Kept Secret” the free, online book, inspiring women in their careers. She also still maintains a strong interest in career development through mentoring and public speaking.

Currently President of the Colne Yacht Club, Oonagh’ s interests include sailing, power boating and helping to run an award- winning local pub.
