Since 2016, Sigve Hovda has been an Advisor within drilling and well technology with Equinor.  His main responsibility is broad implementation and effective use of drilling automation technology.  Sigve has close to 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with Norsk Hydro, Statoil, StatoilHydro and Equinor.  He has had a wide range of positions within drilling operations and technology, including Chief Engineer Drilling and Well Facilities.  For the last 15 years, he has been deeply committed to the advancement of drilling automation.  Sigve has a BSc in mechanical engineering and petroleum technology from the University of Stavanger.
